
Tom is the Chief Executive Officer at Computer Aid International. Previously he spent 6 years as Marketing Director for Action for Children. He is a qualified marketer who has published articles on marketing and product development, and presented at seminars on marketing over the years. Tom is originally Canadian, and has been in the UK for over 30 years. He worked at a number of jobs before finally settling in the commercial sector. His last position was Vice President/Global Head of Product Development and Marketing for Bank of Bermuda.
When Bank of Bermuda was bought by HSBC in 2004, Tom went to Delhi to work on a project performing marketing for a street children’s bank. He then returned to the UK in late 2004 to take up his first voluntary sector position in April 2005.
On the personal side, he loves music, mainly jazz, but also enjoys classical and opera, and plays the piano. His other interests include travel (especially South Asia), theatre and writing, and exploring his family history – his grandfather was a Barnardo’s boy sent to Canada at the turn of the last century.
