Could you be our Star Marketing Intern?!

We’re recruiting! Our latest marketing intern has secured a fabulous job as a Media Planning Assistant with an agency in central London and we’re now on the look out for a marketing, comms or business grad OR someone with the desire to get their first step onto the marketing career ladder.

The role will be varied and tasks may include admin, event management, assisting with online marketing campaigns, competitor analysis to name a few. We’re a small team and this will be a hands on role.

We’d love to have you join us for one or two days a week and in return we will offer you a free professional marketing qualification of your choice from the range we deliver, pay for a daily off-peak travel card and cover your lunch expenses.

“Going to uni was a big decision for me. I was unsure of what I wanted to do in the future so I didn’t want to make the commitment of spending too much money on tuition fees. After much deliberation, I decided to take a course in Business with Marketing.

I learned of the value of internships when I did one in an advertising agency during the summer. I fell in love with the industry and decided to pursue a career within it.

Three years on and it was time to go into the job market. Every job description looked impossible for me to fulfill. I felt as though my head had been filled with theory and I didn’t have any transferable skills to take into a job. That’s when I decided to do a professional course with CIM. I knew I would gain current, practical skills which would make me more appealing to employers. The Marketers’ Forum offered me an internship in order to pay for the course which also meant that I was getting valuable experience in the office environment.

As I got further into the course, I understood the advertising world more and also what employers needed. I used my internship to gain skills and soak up as much knowledge as possible. My job applications became more appealing and eventually, I started having interviews almost every week.

Thanks to The Marketers’ Forum giving me a chance, I am now a media planning assistant and thanks to my CIM qualification, I understand all terminology used and concepts applied at my new job.”
