Bhupendra (Bhup) Patel is a senior marketing leader who has extensive experience in marketing capability development that impact marketing talent and business results – at individual, cross-functional team and organisational levels.
Bhup is passionate about driving ‘excellence’ in marketing through supporting the change process for individuals and teams to develop functional (marketing) and leadership competencies. He has helped marketing leaders achieve their potential through coaching & mentoring, team building and leadership development.
He has delivered a total of over 150 highly engaging customised marketing & strategy action learning workshops in over 40 countries encompassing developed (US,EU,JP) and emerging markets (BRICSM) – delivering memorable learning experiences that have made a difference to over 3200 participants.
Bhup is an avid catalyst for enhancing and embedding marketing capability by instilling strategic thinking and action. He has consulted with over 25 cross-functional teams – in diagnosis of issues and development of sustainable competitive strategy and plans for activation and execution. Through excellent facilitation he has led over a dozen ‘Launch Readiness’ workshops for new product launches, preparing teams & organisations for a successful launch.
Previously, Bhup worked for Abbott Laboratories and Johnson & Johnson in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical devices sectors of life science industry.
Bhup has BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Royal Holloway College, University of London and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, UK. Bhup holds a Diploma in Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing, where he has been awarded Fellowship of the institute. Previously (2010 – 2015), he has served on the international advisory board of ‘Journal of Medical Marketing’ – an academic publication for pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical devices markets.
